A Deadly Earthquake of 7.8 magnitude hit southeast Turkey near the Syrian border at 1:17 (GMT) near the city of Gaziantep.
According to the US Geological Survey, The 7.8 magnitude earthquake jolts the city of Gaziantep near Syrian border at 04:17 local (1:17 GMT) at a depth of 17.9km (11 miles) deep.
Turkey officials have confirmed the 17 death so far, however, the death toll is expected to rise, meanwhile reports from Syria that many casualties were reported.
Multiple buildings and houses collapsed and rescue teams have been deployed.
UPDATE from Syria: 100 people dead and hundreds are injured due to the major earthquake.
Syria don’t have resources to rescue as compared to Turkiye.
