Eight top esports teams from around the world are gearing up for the five-day Blast Premier World Final in Abu Dhabi, where they will compete for a $1 million prize pool. Hosted at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena, this prestigious Tier One tournament is a collaboration between Blast and ADGaming, an esports initiative by the Abu Dhabi government.
James Hartt, Director of Gaming and Digital Development at ADGaming, emphasized the significance of hosting Tier One tournaments in the region. He expressed excitement about bringing the energetic atmosphere of the Arena to fans through the Blast Premier World Final.
Returning to Abu Dhabi for the second time after a successful 2022 edition, the tournament features strong teams such as G2 (Europe), defending champions, Faze Clan (US), Cloud9 (US), Ence (Finland), Navi (Ukraine), and Team Vitality (France).
Hooxie, captain of G2, reflected on the special nature of the tournament for their team, aiming to deliver solid performances without setting specific expectations. Last year’s finals attracted over 6,000 spectators, and Andrew Haworth, the program director, promises even more excitement this time at the Etihad Arena.
In addition to the intense competition, the Blast Zone at the Arena offers various gaming activities for fans of all ages. This includes a mobile gaming area, arcade games, meet-and-greet sessions with esports teams, racing simulators, and more.
The organizers are anticipating an unforgettable experience for fans, combining the thrill of the tournament with a gaming festival. For those interested in attending, further details and tickets for the final are available on the official websites of Ticketmaster and Etihad Arena. The event is set to provide a unique and engaging esports experience for both participants and spectators alike.
