Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah introduced the Nusuk card to ease the movement of pilgrims at holy sites. This card, accessible via Nusuk and Tawakkalna apps, serves as an identification card and allows users to register personal, health, and other essential data.
Pilgrims can obtain the card from Hajj offices after securing their Hajj permit. Nusuk enhances the Hajj experience by providing access to services like accommodation and transportation, along with information about historical and cultural sites.
The Ministry aims to utilize technology for a seamless pilgrimage journey, from arrival to departure, and to accommodate a large number of Muslim pilgrims.
Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, introduced the Nusuk card in Indonesia, where he handed the first card to Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Qoumas.
Discussions were held with officials, company heads, and investors to enhance Hajj services. Additionally, an air transport agreement was signed with Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi to increase flights transporting Indonesian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
