You can now conveniently apply for your Saudi Arabia visa through the newly introduced unified visa platform.
Previously, visa applications were processed through the online platform of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) at visa.mofa.gov.sa. However, a new beta version of the unified visa platform, ksavisa.sa, has been introduced, allowing visitors to apply for their visas seamlessly.
For UAE residents, the process of obtaining a Saudi eVisa is straightforward, offering a 90-day stay with the option to perform Umrah, excluding the Hajj season.
How to Apply – Step-by-Step Guide
Duration and Validity of Saudi eVisa for GCC Residents:
- Duration: 90 days
- Validity: One year
- Number of entries: Multiple
Requirements for Saudi eVisa for UAE Expatriates:
- Valid residency document (minimum three months)
- Passport valid for at least six months
- Applicants must be 18 years old if traveling without parents
Documents Required:
- Passport photo with a white background
- Passport copy
- UAE residence visa page copy
Application Process:
Step 1: Visit ksavisa.sa and select the type of visa
- Choose ‘tourism’ as the purpose of the visit.
- Specify nationality and select ‘Valid residence in the GCC countries (No less than three months).’
- Click ‘Show Eligible Visas’ and choose the eVisa option.
Step 2: Enter travel details
- Enter the expected date of arrival in Saudi Arabia.
- Specify the country of residence.
- Select the nearest embassy – Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
- Optional: Enter transport mode and port of entry.
Step 3: Enter personal information and upload passport photo
- Provide full name as per passport, mobile number, and address.
- Enter gender, marital status, and date of birth.
- Optional: Enter occupation and title.
- Answer optional question about plans during the stay.
- Upload passport-sized photograph meeting specified requirements.
Step 4: Enter passport details and upload passport copy
- Upload passport copy scan.
- Enter passport number, country of issuance, place of birth, issue and expiry date.
Step 5: Enter UAE residency visa details
- Upload UAE residency visa.
- Enter visa number, expiry date, emirate of residence, and address.
Step 6: Agree to terms and conditions and review application details
- Agree to terms and conditions.
- Review application details and click ‘Next.’
Step 7: Select medical insurance
- Answer medical insurance questions.
- Select a medical insurance provider in Saudi Arabia.
Step 8: Pay for the Saudi eVisa application
- Review costs, including visa fees, application fees, and medical insurance fees.
- Click ‘Pay Now’ and complete the online payment with a credit or debit card.
Once payment is confirmed, receive a transaction number to track the application on ksavisa.sa. While GCC residents can expect instant visa issuance, the general processing time is up to three working days. Once accepted, the eVisa will be sent via email.
