The Legendary US television host, Larry King, has passed away at the age of 87, according to a statement by Ora Media, a production company he co-founded.
Larry King passed away at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, according to a statement posted on his verified Twitter handle.
“With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at the age of 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.” the statement said.
“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster.” the statement continued.
“Funeral arrangements and a memorial service will be announced later in coordination with the King family, who ask for their privacy at this time.” the statement concluded.

The cause of death has not mentioned in the statement, however, many media outlets are reporting that the TV host died after his battle with coronavirus.
King was hospitalized with COVID-19 earlier this month at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to US media outlets.
The TV host suffered from a number of health problems in recent years, including several heart attacks. He underwent a quintuple bypass surgery which inspired his to establish the Larry King Cardiac Foundation to provide assistance to those without insurance.
King was also diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017 and successfully underwent surgery to treat it. He also underwent another surgery for angina in 2019.
Last year, the TV legend suffered the loss of two of his children, Chaia and Andy, within weeks of each other.
