ABU DHABI: The owner Khalfan bin Butti al-Qubaisi, in a statement, said lightening bold that struck yesterday has killed his 50 Rare Birds. The worth of the birds amounted to as high as 20 million Dirham.
Al Bayan has reported the owner has incurred financial losses exceeding 20 million Dirhams.
A very powerful lightning bolt struck Dhafra area in Abu Dhabi yesterday. The lightning burnt down the bird nests. About 50 Rare Birds were killed in the incident.

The owner Khalfan bin Butti al-Qubaisi has also said he lost almost 50 birds which were very rare. He also said his birds were famous and had won many competitions. He added they were priceless.
The owner has confirmed the birds that were burnt were rare and priceless. He also pointed out the birds very highly trained. His rare birds with a high level of training and had participated in many competition. They had also won many trophies in the tournaments.
He also stated one of the birds killed was worth more than 10 million Dirham.

He also said the lighting yesterday was very strong which burnt every thing in the place.
The lightning burnt down the bird nests. The lightning burned down his farm and nests, it was all converted into a pile of ash.
The 50 birds were fully engulfed in the painful and horrific incident.
