Dubai authorities have issued a warning to drivers about potential traffic congestion on major roads, which are flooded as a result of heavy rain across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Motorists heading to Sharjah on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, specifically from Al Rashidiya Bridge, are advised to exercise caution. Given the accumulation of rainwater, especially at the entrance to Sharjah, commuters are encouraged to consider alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had previously anticipated delays on the vital artery, Sheikh Zayed Road. Unstable weather conditions may result in the presence of rainwater pools on the highway. In light of this, the RTA suggests drivers explore alternative routes, such as Al Khail Road.
Several videos shared on Instagram depict instances of waterlogging on a street adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road, emphasizing the impact of the weather conditions on the roadways.
