New York, the worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic has now made it possible to have weddings online and get married over video call and obtain your marriage license.
The coronavirus pandemic has put everything on lockdown and more and more people are staying home and resorting to more online activities.
Online weddings now seem to be the next big thing following in this trend as the state of New York has now permitted weddings and marriage ceremonies online over video calls.

An Aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo Mellissa DeRosa said:
We are today signing an executive order allowing people to get their marriage licenses remotely and also allowing clerks to perform ceremonies over video,
Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York added:
Video marriage ceremonies — there’s now no excuse when the question comes up,
The state of New York has been most affected by the coronavirus with over 236,500 cases out of a total of 728,000 cases so far in the United States and the death toll of the state is over 13,000 while the country’s total death toll is 34,726.
This mean that New York alone accounts for over 30 percent of the US cases and almost 40 percent of the total deaths in the United States.
With lockdown becoming the new normal in the state, people are using more and more online video conferencing services and there have even been reports of funerals being conducted over video calls.
