Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) achieved another milestone, a flight PK784 from Toronto to Karachi recently took off almost three hours ahead of schedule, leaving all passengers behind. Yes, you read that right—PIA’s Flight 784 departed 2 hours and 56 minutes early, without so much as a boarding announcement, leaving passengers scratching their heads and clutching their suitcases back in Toronto.
Reports first appeared on social media, where incredulous readers initially dismissed the story as a joke or another one of those wild internet rumors. But it was soon confirmed:
The flight did indeed fly the coop early, arriving in Karachi a solid two and a half hours before anyone was expecting it. One might wonder if the pilot just had a dinner reservation he didn’t want to miss!
According to the unfortunate souls left stranded, there was no announcement, no check-in, and definitely no warning. In what could easily qualify for a plot twist in a slapstick comedy, passengers were left behind as if they’d stumbled onto the set of Home Alone—PIA edition.
While we’re used to flight delays, it seems PIA has decided to set a new trend: “departure on the dot, or three hours before it.” Passengers are now left wondering if they should start showing up the day before their flight just to be safe.
PIA might be looking at a new slogan: Fly with PIA – where time flies faster than you do!
