JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky officially arrived in Jeddah on Monday to bolster bilateral relations, bilateral cooperation with Ukraine and regional and international issues.
King Abdulaziz International Airport played host to senior Saudi officials and Ukrainian diplomats who welcomed President Zelensky.
The visit is being discussed in the context of bilateral issues including economic ties and ongoing geopolitical situations like the Russia-Ukraine war and impact on global energy and food security, according to diplomatic sources.

The visit — which is widely expected to include meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other high-ranking officials — is a very public hot seat. Talks are expected to focus on peace, humanitarian assistance, and possible investments between the countries.
President Zelensky arrives at a time when, due to the events taking place in Eastern Europe, Ukraine is continuing to search for wider support from the international community.
Saudi Arabia has put itself front and center of regional and global diplomacy, so this visit marks an important moment in Ukraine engaging the Arab world.
