The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has declared a public holiday on November 23 to celebrate its historic win against favorites Argentina in the opening match for Group C at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Tuesday.
According to the details, the public holiday in Saudi Arabia applies to all employees of both public and private, as well as students across the country, the Khaleej Times reported.
King Salman approved the public holiday in Saudi Arabia over a suggestion made by Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to celebrate the national team’s victory.
Saudi Arabia was able to nab one of its biggest wins against Argentina by 2-1 in the opening game of Group C at the Lusail Stadium in Doha on Tuesday.
