KATHMANDU: A Saurya Airlines flight experienced a tragic crash during takeoff at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday.
The aircraft, bound for Pokhara, veered off the runway, resulting in a catastrophic incident. Nineteen individuals, including the crew, were on board.
Tragically, initial reports confirm five fatalities, and rescue teams are actively working at the scene.
Captain MR Shakya has been transported to a hospital for treatment.
Thick smoke engulfed the crash site as police and firefighters conducted rescue operations.
