Sharjah Police General Command declared the full closure of the sandhill in the Al Faya area in the Central Region on Saturday.
The decision stems from the frequent observation of individuals engaging in unlawful activities, leading to serious accidents. Such behavior not only jeopardizes their lives but also poses a risk to families and visitors, particularly young people.
The closure comes after repeated instances of non-compliance with security rules and instructions, despite awareness campaigns conducted by the police. Authorities emphasized that this step was necessary to prevent further incidents caused by individuals who disregard safety guidelines.
In a warning to amateur motorists, the police advised against engaging in unsafe practices in sandy areas, emphasizing the potential dangers to their lives and the lives of others.
Additionally, community members were encouraged to report any reckless acts immediately through the designated emergency contact number. This move underscores the commitment to maintaining public safety and preventing hazardous activities in the specified region.
