DUBAI DESERT: Two Pakistani men allured a countryman to a desert and murdered him after sexually assaulting torturing him. The case was heard in Dubai Court.

The 21-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty before the court and denies of committing the ruthless act and claims of only being present at the crime scene. The 33-year-old absconder is facing charges in absentia.

The body found buried in the sand dunes was in a highly decomposed state. Only the toes and head of the deceased were protruding and were badly devoured by animals.

A police lieutenant said on March 16 at 10.30am they were alerted about the discovery of the body in a remote desert location. “Our first speculation was that the crime motive could be a fight among bootleggers as the area is crowded by laborers. However, we ruled out that possibility after questioning the workers at the site.”

The police have also learned that the absconder met the victim shortly before his death and had fled the UAE shortly after the crime. They then detained his partner, who admitted to killing the victim with the main accused and covering the body with stones and sand.
