The UAE has entered into mutual visa exemption pact with a European country. According to the details, the UAE and the Republic of Kosovo have signed an official memorandum of understanding in which visa requirements for ordinary, diplomatic, special and mission passport holders are mutually waived. Now, UAE citizens who possess valid passports with validity not less than one year is eligible for visa-free entry into Kosovo and may stay there for a period not exceeding 90 days per trip.
On the other hand are citizens of Kosovo having valid diplomatic, official and ordinary passports who receive reciprocal visa free entry into UAE. The development was welcomed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kosovo during a telephone conversation where they highlighted the importance of this agreement. They marked that this step would strengthen and propel bilateral relations to the benefit of mutual interests of both nations and their people.
The MoU was signed by Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the UAE and by Xhabir Hamiti, the Ambassador of Kosovo to the United Arab Emirates in his capacity.
This is one of the steps taken to strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate movement of persons between UAE and Kosovo. It signifies a significant step forward in bolstering collaborative efforts across multiple arenas, including the political, economic, cultural, and educational spheres.
A bilateral discussion about enhancing all the fields of their relation had taken place within this same telephonic conversation between the top diplomat and Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo. Sheikh Abdullah spoke positively about the rising relationship between two states and shared a common dream to intensify them for common returns.
