The UAE government declared a one-week holiday for its public sector workers on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr 2024, starting from April 8 to April 14, 2024.
Federal government employees will enjoy a total of nine holidays, including the weekend, as Saturday and Sunday, to celebrate Eid ul Fitr.
Despite uncertainties about the moon sighting, the Eid holidays in UAE officially start on April 8 since.
It is pertinent to mention that Ramadan can last either 29 or 30 days, depending on the moon sighting, and Eid Al Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal, the month following Ramadan.
As Ramadan nears its end, anticipation grows in the UAE as residents prepare to celebrate the longest public holiday of the year.
