As the UAE gears up for the 52nd Union Day celebrations, residents are eagerly anticipating a festive atmosphere during the final long weekend of the year.
To add to the celebratory spirit, authorities have lined up a range of attractions, including enticing discounts, spectacular fireworks displays, and even freebies for the public holiday. In a thoughtful gesture, authorities have also declared free parking in three emirates across the UAE for the occasion.

Abu Dhabi
Starting from Saturday, December 2, 2023, until 7:59 am on Tuesday, December 5, MAWAQiF parking fees in Abu Dhabi will be waived. Additionally, parking fees at the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also be exempted during the official holiday.
Dubai
The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has generously announced complimentary public parking for the Union Day holiday. Residents can enjoy free parking from Saturday, December 2, to Monday, December 4. It’s worth noting that this exemption applies to all public parking, excluding multi-level terminals. Regular parking tariffs will be reinstated on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Sharjah
In a gesture of celebration for UAE National Day, the Sharjah Municipality declared free parking. From Saturday, December 2, to Monday, December 4, public parking will be free of charge. The regular paid parking system will resume on Tuesday, December 5, allowing residents to continue their usual parking routines.
