The UAE’s Dar Al Ber Society, a prominent non-profit organization, has initiated an extensive Ramadan campaign with the ambitious goal of collecting Dh160 million to support thousands of fasting and needy individuals locally and globally. Dr. Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of the society, highlighted the campaign’s focus on aiding those with limited income during Ramadan, both within and outside the UAE. Under the theme “O seeker of goodness, Come Forward,” the campaign commenced on February 15 and will continue until Eid al-Fitr.
The comprehensive Ramadan campaign encompasses 16 charitable projects, including seasonal initiatives. Notably, it includes an Iftar project benefiting 324,000 individuals domestically and 281,256 abroad, with 1,080,000 meals distributed daily across 23 locations nationwide. Additionally, Zakat Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Fitr clothing projects aim to assist thousands of beneficiaries both within and outside the UAE, alongside initiatives such as providing food baskets to families and building mosques and model villages.
Dr. Al Muhairi outlined various avenues for donations, including the Dar Al Ber website, smart applications, representatives at shopping centers, and branches of the society. The funds raised will also support initiatives like healthcare, education, Qur’an printing, and debt relief for deserving residents, underscoring the multifaceted impact of the campaign in fostering community welfare and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan.
