Successful bidder bought the world’s most expensive Koi Carp fish for 1 million pounds (Dh6.7millions).
A red and white Koi Carp fish was sold for Auction held in Japan for 1 million pounds (Dh6.7millions) setting the record for world’s most expensive fish.
A collector from Taiwan bought the 3 feet 3 inches long fish for 1 million pounds more than the previous world record.

Saki Fish Farm in the city of Hiroshima held the bidding. Female Koi named as S Legend belonging to Kohaku variety was sold to a bidder from Taiwan. It was sold by the breeder Kentaro Sakai.
The record price of 1.4million pound for single Koi Carp spread quickly in the UK.the woman called Yingying from Taiwan bought the fish and not much is known about her.
If the fish breeds can lay up to 500,000 eggs, out of which 5,000 will be of the sellable quality. The Koi can live up to 25 years.
Photos from the auction were posted on the Facebook page of world-famous Saki Fish farm which has been breeding Koi for over 100 years. Koi Carp collectors and fans are expected to travel from all over the world to get a glimpse of the £1.4m fish.
Previous best price for Koi carp was 400,000 pounds only which has made this new record bid very intriguing for the people in Koi carp world.
Koi Carp comes in dozens of varieties distinguished by their color, pattern, and scalation. Koi Carp has originated from Japan.
Japan in 2016 has generated revenue of 28million pounds by the export of 295 tons of Koi Carp. Japan is the biggest producer and exports 90% of production.
